Ozamiz Cathedral Pipe Organ Restored

Last November 19, 2011 was the inauguration of the Ozamiz Cathedral Pipe Organ. This is said to be the largest pipe organ in Visayas and Mindanao and the 4th largest in the whole Philippines.The Priest-Curator of this and Chief Organist is Rev. Fr. Lhem Japos Naval.

The Ozamiz Cathedral Pipe Organ was built in 1967, as a fulfilled dream of the parishioners during that time under the leadership of Fr. Sean Lavery, SSC, the Parish Music Director. They raised funds through musical extravaganzas under the baton of Dr. Adelaida Abinales.

On the late 90s, the organ underwent major damages and had gone silent. It was on 2009 when Archbishop Jesus A. Dosado, CM, DD, personally initiated the restoration of this priceless gem. The Diego Cerra Organ Builders Company of Las Pinas City re
